Dear Santa

Snow White crystals falling Gently on the window pane A little girl sits wondering will Christmas be the same?
Lights and tinsel shining
All the stockings hung with care Yuletide carols all around
Soon Santa will be there
She waits to see those headlights pulling up into the drive She longs to see her Daddy's smile tonight
Dear Santa
I have only one wish this year
Stop the wars and bring us peace this Christmas And Dear Santa
I don't need toys under the tree
Santa bring my Daddy home to me
Her Daddy fights for freedom
In a place so far away
She prays that he'll be coming home, home for Christmas Day
Just a worn out old picture
She keeps close to her heart
It holds them together
Even though they're worlds apart
She waits to see those headlights pulling up into the drive She longs to see her Daddy's smile tonight
Dear Santa
I have only one wish this year
Stop the wars and bring us peace this Christmas And Dear Santa
I don't need toys under the tree
Santa bring my Daddy home to me
Mommy tucks her into bed
While sugar plums dance in her head
That same old worn out picture by her side
All at once she hears a sound
Maybe Santa's come around
But much to her surprise
There's a soldier smiling, arms open wide
Dear Santa, I had only one wish this year
To stop the wars and bring us peace this Christmas Dear Santa, this will be the best Christmas Eve Now that my Daddy's home with me
