The song is a quirky and upbeat look at one of those Christmas traditions, we all love to hate … no not Brussel Sprouts but more that fashionable item of clothing which always makes an appearance at this time of year, yes you guessed it … the Christmas sweater. It's quite an upbeat song and the bells give it a Christmassy feel – the piano arpeggios are lovely and the lead vocals performed by Jade 10 sound simply wonderful.
Show Lyrics — My Ugly Sweater
Ug-a-ly, ug-a-ly Ug-a-ly, it's ug-a-ly Say hi to John I got your card I read your Christmas letter But most of all I had to call To say I love the sweater It's an assorted colored horrid travesty Just for me And I'm gonna treat it like it's beautiful To wear with my winter coat when I get cold If I ever take a trip to the north pole My ugly sweater will keep me warm It's ug-a-ly snug-a-ly Ugly snug-a-ly My ugly sweater Will keep me warm It's nice and warm like a Christmas song It'll stay with me forever Tell Santa Claus to bring you yours So we'll look good together It's an assorted colored horrid travesty Just for me And I'm gonna treat it like it's beautiful To wear with my winter coat when I get cold If I ever take a trip to the north pole My ugly sweater will keep me warm It's ug-a-ly snug-a-ly Ugly snug-a-ly My ugly sweater Will keep me warm It's nice and warm like a Christmas song Tell Santa Claus to bring you yours It's an assorted colored horrid travesty Just for me La-la-la-la-ahh And I'm gonna treat it like it's beautiful To wear with my winter coat when I get cold If I ever take a trip to the north pole My ugly sweater will keep me warm It's ug-a-ly snug-a-ly Ugly and snug-a-ly My ugly sweater Will keep me warm My ugly sweater My ugly sweater My ugly sweater Will keep me warm My ugly sweater My ugly sweater My ugly sweater Will keep me warm
