Brenda Lee’s career embraces rockabilly, pop and country, with hits including “I’m Sorry” and “Sweet Nothin’s”. She recorded “Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree” in 1958, giving the song a confident swing that still feels inviting. It’s a Christmas party favourite with enough bounce to make standing still beside the buffet quite a challenge.
Show Lyrics — Rockin Around The Christmas Tree
Rockin' around the Christmas tree At the Christmas party hop Mistletoe hung where you can see Every couple tries to stop Rockin' around the Christmas tree Let the Christmas spirit ring Later we'll have some pumpkin pie And we'll do some carolling You will get a sentimental feeling When you hear Voices singing let's be jolly Deck the halls with boughs of holly Rockin' around the Christmas tree Have a happy holiday Everyone dancing merrily In the new old fashioned way You will get a sentimental feeling When you hear Voices singing let's be jolly Deck the halls with boughs of holly Rockin' around the Christmas tree Have a happy holiday Everyone dancing merrily In the new old fashioned way
